It is difficult to say in what period Rovinj was born. It is first mentioned in the work of Cosmographia by the anonymous Ravenna, who talks about Castro Rubina from the 5th century, but today we can safely say that Rovinj is a "city of love" or "a city with 1000 chimneys" guests love to call it and one of the most popular Croatian tourist destinations.
